At Twisted Grit Yoga, we try to offer something for everyone. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi, fitness enthusiast, or someone new to it all, we’re here for you! Click the images below to get a class description.
For all our classes, we recommend bringing a mat (or renting one when you get here), towel, and water.
Slower paced classes
These classes move a bit slower, allowing you time to adjust and find what’s right for your body.
Twisted Slow Flow (95°)
SLOW FLOW is designed to build strength, stretch deeply, and relax your body at a slower pace. The warmth of the studio will help ease muscles and increase blood and lymphatic flow. You can expect a little bit of everything in this class, from movement to stillness. Suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike – if you’re looking for a well-rounded practice that includes strength, balance, relaxation and flexibility, you’ll find it here.
Big Boy Yoga (75°)
Open to anyone and everyone, this class was designed to bust the myth that big boys can’t do yoga. No more excuses! Here’s a class you don’t need to be flexible to do. You don’t even have to like yoga. During Big Boy Yoga, we’ll jam out to rocking tunes and work with our bodies just as they are. We may laugh a lot, but we’ll also do serious work to heal our bodies and minds. Open to all genders, but big boys and beginners are especially encouraged! Not your mom’s yoga. (85 degrees)
Meditation & Relaxation
Here’s a class you don’t need to break a sweat or change your clothes to get that Twisted Grit GLOW! This class will use all kinds of modalities to help you reset, restore, and revive. Plan on lots of breathing, guided relaxation, maybe some gentle movements, and at times, essential oils, massage, and other new and exciting ways to heal your body. This class is accessible for everyone, even if you struggle with sitting still and checking in. This is a great place to start.
Aroma Yin (85-90°)
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga for deep stretching, relaxing, and healing. Most poses are seated or lying down, incorporating deep breathing techniques and long holds. Yin will focus on stretching the fascia and muscles, increasing flexibility, mindfulness, increasing range of motion, healing injuries, and healing the mind. Yoga props are used to support the body, and essential oils are added to the class to aid in relaxation and balance – pure bliss. (85 degrees)
Candlelight Yin
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga for deep stretching, relaxing, and healing. Most poses are seated or lying down, incorporating deep breathing techniques and long holds. Yin will focus on stretching the fascia and muscles, increasing flexibility, mindfulness, increasing range of motion, healing injuries, and healing the mind. It is helpful to bring a blanket along with a yoga mat. We’ll often use bolsters in this class, which will be provided. (85-90 degrees)
TGY Stretch & Roll
Ready to feel like you just walked out of the best massage ever? Stretch + Roll uses various massage tools, stretches, and breathing to help your muscles recover, relax, and rejuvenate! This class is all about self-care! This class aids in muscle recovery, increased blood and lymphatic flow, increased flexibility, relaxation, and lots of knowledge! You will even learn techniques to do at home. If you have a foam roller, you are welcome to bring it. We do have some here for you to use.
Twisted Restore & Breathe
Snuggle in for the most relaxing class on the schedule. 60 minutes of supporting your body fully enough for it to completely relax. Once the body relaxes, we will work on relaxing the mind without any worry of tension or muscle feedback, just bliss! There will be the added level of relaxation with essential oils custom blended for a evening designed to support you in letting go. Open for all levels and all minds. Learn how to support yourself! Feel free to bring your own yoga mat, blanket, bolster, pillow or blocks. Or use ours. (75 degrees)
Chakra meditation
A meditation based class that involves Crystals and Sound Healing to blanance your Chakras. A different chakra will be the area of focus each week.
Faster-Paced Yoga Classes
These classes typically move through poses faster, and you’ll likely get sweaty!
Twisted Flow (95°)
This class will help you flex into your practice and take what you need. Whether you’d like to practice full-force and challenge yourself or modify and ground yourself after a long day, you’re welcome to do so during TWISTED FLOW. In this class, we breathe, make shapes, move, sit in stillness, and practice mindfulness through a combination of balance, stabilization, core work, and meditation. Be brave and bring your laughter or your tears – we always invite you to come as you are. (95 degrees)
Grit Power Flow (95°)
Power is a class that features a vigorous and more fitness-based practice. You don’t need to keep up or do all the shapes, and can modify poses to suit what you need in the moment. This class combines dynamic breathing and strong flowing movement to make you sweat. Accessible for anyone willing to listen to their body, this class allows you to cultivate outer power and teaches you how to build and nurture your inner power, along with physical strength and increased flexibility. (95 degrees)
Twisted Center Strong (95°)
This is a Twisted Grit favorite! We’ll build strength through slow and mindful movements in an effort to relieve pain, improve posture, build confidence, and ground your body. During TWISTED CENTER STRONG, we’ll focus on making shapes that increase our core strength while encouraging the muscle to stretch, relax, and build. This class is accessible to everyone and all levels. (90-92 degrees)
Grit Inferno Fusion (105°)
We’ve put a Twisted Grit spin on traditional HOT yoga. Join us for 105 degrees of intense holds and powerful poses to increase our heart rates, blood flow, stamina, endurance, flexibility, lymphatic flow, power, and patience. This class is open to all levels, and you’re always welcome to take as many breaks as you need. GRIT INFERNO FUSION features lots of holds and shorter flows, similar to a HIIT class, with bursts of hard work followed by a reflective pause. Classes will be HOT, so please be prepared to come hydrated and feeling well. (105 degrees)
Flight Club (95°)
Join us for a workshop-style class where we break down arm balances, inversions and more advanced yoga moves. You will learn strength drills, tips and tricks, and the skills to execute the poses. All levels are welcome and you take the class as you need it. It is a judgment-free zone where falling and laughing make yoga better! Don’t let fear hold you back from something new!
Grit & Grace
This class offers the option of adding weights to your yoga practice. No jumping or powerlifting, just a yoga class with the option to add weights, Don’t be afraid! You will love this class because it will allow you to take care of yourself in the ways that you need most whether it is stretching, strengthening, relaxing, or connecting, this class is right for you!
*PLEASE DO NOT PUT WEIGHTS AWAY EARLY. There will be five minutes at the end of class to allow time for clean up. Please leave your equipment if you need to leave early.

Looking to enhance your yoga routine? We have plenty of fitness classes designed for all levels!
Quick Core
A quick in and out for our busy community. This class is 30 minutes of wellness that may include weight training, cardio, yoga, and core, but it’s sure to include fitness + fun + wellness for all levels. A way to get your workout in quickly so you can return to your busy day. Expect class to move quickly, but don’t be pressured to keep up. It’s what you need it to be. Weights will be optional. You may wear shoes in this class. A perfect TGY class!!
TGY Happy Hips
A quick 30 minutes of hip therapy. We will use different healing modalities to get into the hips to help give you some more space and maybe some pain relief + peace. A great class to attend if you don’t have a full hour for a yoga class. Unlock those hips!
Grit up & Glow
Here’s a new twist on yoga! This class is for everyone. We’ll focus on creative strength training, cardiovascular health, endurance, along with the yoga principles of breath, mindfulness and balance- the stuff we ALL need! GRIT UP AND GO takes advantage of upbeat music, a warm studio, and weights (choose what works for you, WEIGHTS OPTIONAL) to help you work up a sweat and find your strength. Show up well-hydrated and ready to listen to your body – shoes optional. Do you! (95 degrees)

belly dance
Whether new to fusion belly dance or a seasoned practitioner, our fundamentals give us a strong basic foundation we can build on.
In class, you will receive:
+ Exercises for strength and flexibility targeting the specific muscles used in fusion Bellydance.
+ Drills for fast and slow twitch muscle movement, improving muscle memory, coordination, and mind-body connection.
+ A thorough breakdown of the movements that define Sanne’s stylization with influences from 8 elements: Dancecraft, Flow Arts, Yoga, and Indian Temple Dance.
+ Basic vocabulary that will help you follow along in class and dance in sync with other belly dancers.
Complete beginner? No worries! We will start from the very basics and progress as we go.
